Hiren Khemlani is a sports and performance psychologist. He specialises in helping athletes regulate their thoughts and emotions to improve performance and wellbeing. He trains athletes in mental skills that correspond to the development of 5 key competencies namely commitment, communication, concentration, emotional control and confidence.

Hiren believes that every individual is unique, and that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to psychological development. He strongly believes that a lot of answers we seek can be found within ourselves. By making every effort to understand the world from their perspective, Hiren is able to ask the right questions to help tennis players reflect and understand what will work best for them. Hiren may introduce specific cognitive behavioural strategies for tennis players to practice outside of sessions so that they are building their own tool-kit they can use to improve tennis performance.

Andrew came to Hong Kong from Australia in 1997 and has been with TennisAsia for the past 22 years. He is a fully qualified tennis teaching professional under Tennis Australia and has over 30 years coaching experience. Andrew is a former HK Davis Cup player, and multiple winner of HK National Championships, S.C.A.A Open and CRC Open singles titles, giving him the HK #1 singles ranking on a number of occasions.

Hsin Han, a former number 1 ranked player in Taiwan and ATP doubles high of #93, has over 15 years of extensive experience competing on an international level both as a junior and as a professional player. He represented his home country Chinese Taipei on various occasions and has won numerous medals.

With his competitive background, Hsin Han has accumulated rich experiences. Having transformed himself from a pro player to a performance coach, Hsin Han hopes to boost performance for junior elite players, helping them take their tennis game to new and different levels as well as inspire them to become better people. Hsin Han also enjoys the challenge of working with players just starting out – juniors and adults.

Although Hsin Han has stepped down as a professional player, he still plays in the major local tournaments. Hsin Han won the Men’s Doubles for both the CRC Open and SCAA Open in 2018 and 2019. He was also the Champion in both Men’s and Mixed Doubles in the Prudential HK Open in 2019. Hsin Han also served as the performance coach for Team HK in Davis Cup for 2018 and 2019.

Tom began his career in the sports/fitness industry 20 years ago, and has 10 years’ experience working with tennis players at an elite level. He has trained numerous players with top 1000 ATP, ITF and WTA rankings, including two players within the top 100.

Tom adopts an holistic approach to performance training, emphasizing the importance of cultivating both physical and psychological strength in order to compete at the highest level. This involves the development of idiosyncratic training plans focusing on enhancing movement, strength, stability, flexibility, and injury prevention, in addition to resilience and motivation.

Taivo started doing fitness training for preschool children when he was just 21. Taivo moved on to work with windsurfers, two of whom have now represented Estonia at three summer Olympic Games.

Andy has been a qualified Tennis Teaching Professional under the USPTA for the past 35 years. He arrived in HK in 1984 to take on the role of Head Tennis Professional at the Aberdeen Marina Club. Following that, he was the Head Tennis Professional at the LRC before setting up TennisAsia and establishing it as HK’s premier tennis management company. As a player, Andy represented HK in international events since 1988, in the Davis Cup (both as a player & later as Captain), the Kent Team Cup and the Ghaffa Cup. Over the years, he has been ranked as high as #2 in HK in singles and #1 in doubles. He is active on the ITF seniors circuit and was formerly the Asian and Australian singles champion in the 45s and ranked as high as #5 in the world in the 45s (2009). Off the court, Andy has been involved with the HK Tennis Association as a long term Council Member and also sat a term as Chairman of Player Development & Tournament Committees. Andy still competes regularly on the ITF Seniors Tour and enjoys fitness, squash, biking and watersports.

Pepe is from Spain, where he grew up as one of Spain’s leading junior players. He was a member of the National Training Squad and a former Spanish National Doubles Champion. Pepe attended the University of New Mexico on a full tennis scholarship and went on to become 2 time All American, even having a court at the University named after him. Turning to coaching, Pepe is a RPT qualified level 4 professional, and also a NCAA/ITA member coach. He was previously the Director of Tennis at Club Tennis Cubelles in Barcelona, and also did stints as the Men’s Coach at Oklahoma State University and the Women’s Coach at Princeton University. Arriving in HK back in 2011, Pepe spent 2 years as the Head Coach of the HK National Training Squad Program. He has also spent the past 5 years teaching both at the Kowloon Cricket Club and the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club.

Xesc comes from Mallorca in Spain. He started playing at the age of 9 but quickly grew to become one of Spain’s leading juniors and was ranked 7th in Europe through the European Championships.
He competed on both the ITF and ATP circuit and reached a top 50 ranking in the open category in Spain.
Xesc grew up Sparring with the likes of Rafael Nadal, Carlos Moya (Former number 1 ATP), Barbara Strycova (Top 20 WTA), Anna Ivanovic (Former WTA number 1) and Flavia Penneta (Former Top 10 WTA).
In his career as a coach, Xesc was fortunate enough to work alongside and be inspired by Toni Nadal (Rafael Nadal’s former coach) as well as Joan Bosch (Carlos Moya’s former coach).
Xesc has worked as a coach at The Spanish High Performance Sports Centre and founded an academy where he directed more than 200 players and honed his passion for teaching.
Xesc considers himself an ambitious, yet disciplined coach who is motivated to help any player of any level, strive to reach the next level.

Xesc’s biggest hobby is art. He is passionate about painting, participating in other sports like football and has a love for travelling and meeting people from all over the world.

Luis is from Peru. As a player, he achieved the #1 position in the Peru National Rankings for U16 and U18, and he was #311 in the World Junior ITF. In 2009, he player for Division I School University of Portland and was transferred with a full scholarship to the top 5 Division II School at Columbus State University, where he achieved All-American Honors (Top 10 the Nation) in doubles, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Marketing. Among other competitive players, Luis has coached the National U12 Champion Christian Garay in the US, and Juan Pablo Varillas as a junior in Peru, who is currently ranked top 350 in the ATP.

Filip is from Croatia where he was one of its leading junior tennis players. He competed in the junior Australian Open, Roland Garros and Wimbledon, before starting on the ATP tour where he reached a career high of 478. With wins against several top 100 and 200 players, he also trained with players such as Federer, Djokovic, Raonic & Ferrer to name a few. Filip also worked as a coach/player at Durham University in the UK, (UK Team Champions) a coach at the Wimx Tennis Academy and was also the coach of the Qatar National Junior Team and it’s men’s Davis Cup team.

She was also the #1 16U ranked player in Europe before turning pro and competing on the WTA Tour. Sviatlana was the winner of 24 ITF events and a finalist in 30 ITF events and achieved a WTA world ranking of #371 in singles and #253 in doubles. Turning to coaching, she traveled for 2 years as a coach on the WTA Tour and also spent 2 years coaching a group of National junior champions and working with the Avante Tennis Club in Belarus. Svietalana has also worked as a commentator for the past 2 years on Belarus National TV and studied law at the Belarus State University.

Nicolas is a fully qualified Tennis Teaching Professional under the FFT (Federation Francaise de Tennis) level 2, and has over 25 years coaching experience with both juniors & adults. He was previously the Head Tennis Coach at Soisy sur Seine Tennis Club and St Pierre du Perray Tennis Club near Paris. Nicolas was also tasked with undertaking the education of future coaches in the Paris district, and designed & implemented a unique program for “Tennis at Schools” in Paris suburbs and managed its operation. During this program, Nic was fortunate to coach Geoffrey Blancaneaux in 2008 (French Open Junior Champion in 2016). Nicolas was also chaperone at IMG Bollettieri Academies for French company FM Sports & Langues during summers (2004-2009). Currently Nic & his wife Seheno are official, exclusive HK agents of Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, one of the world’s most advanced tennis academies. Zoran is a certified Tennis Teaching Professional under the Slovenian Tennis Association and has been teaching tennis full-time since 2010. He has worked both as a high performance coach in academies with full-time players on the ITF tour, and in a club environment with recreational adults and juniors. As a junior himself, Zoran was the Slovenian National Champion (18U), and ranked 115 by the ITF. Prior to taking up coaching full-time, Zoran competed on the ATP Tour and achieved a world ranking of 880. Rihards is from Latvia and is a certified Tennis Teaching Professional under the Latvian Sports Federation with over 16 years tennis coaching experience. He has been coaching at the Concept Sports Centre in Latvia and the Kenn Sports Centre in Germany, as well as the Scottish National Tennis Centre in the UK. Just prior to coming to HK, Rihards was the Latvian National Junior Team Coach and also coached a number of Latvia’s leading juniors playing while working at the Varpu Tennis & Padal Club in Latvia. As a player, Rihards played on the ATP Tour and achieved a world ranking. He is also still currently ranked 7th in Latvia and has represented Latvia in the Davis Cup. Rihards is very passionate about tennis and authored a book titled “Boost Your Tennis Game” which is available on Amazon. Rihards loves active life and all sports in general, and is very intersted in working with modern technology to help with coaching players.

Before coming to HK, Adriano spent 2 years in China at the Sanchez-Casal International Tennis Academy in Nanjing, working with the region’s leading junior players. Adriano also took part in a number of ITF, Futures and Challenger events himself, before turning to coaching full-time. Adriano has a range of interests in sports, but loves the sea. He enjoys kayaking, jumping off cliffs, discovering lost islands and hiking in the mountains.

Juan comes to us with an enormous amount of experience as a coach, director as well as tutor for other coaches (ITF Level 1 Tutor/Speaker at The ITF World Coaches Conference 2021). He started his career in Spain alongside legendary coach Carlos Rodriguez (Ex coach of Li Na and Justine Henin). Juan is an International Professional Level 3 (RPT) certified professional who also has ATPCA and GPTCA qualifications. He has worked in Spain at The JC Ferrero Equelite Sport Academy before running his own Rise academy in Shanghai. Juan came to HK in 2019 and worked for The HK Tennis Association as The Manager of Participation and Head Coach for The NTFS – National Training Future Squads where he was responsible for coach education, development and implementation of training as well as tournament programs for all HKTA colour ball programs. His speciality and passion is in colour-ball junior development but Juan also loves working with adults and elite players too. Ramazan is a native of Kazan, Tatarstan in Russia. After being introduced to tennis at the age of 8, Ramazan held the number 1 position from U12 – U18 in the region. He won many Russian, ITF and USTA titles as a junior. He went on to play NCAA Division 1 college tennis for St. Bonaventure University, where he also majored in International Relations. After graduating, Ramazan joined The John McEnroe Tennis Academy in New York City as he embarked on his coaching career. He is an internationally certified PTR coach. He is experienced with individual and group sessions with players of all ages and levels, in addition to fitness & mental training. Ramazan also worked as a hitting partner for John McEnroe (former world #1) prior to exhibition matches at grand slams. As a junior competitor, he held a #1 Swedish National ranking, an ITF Junior ranking of #42, was a European Champion in the U18, and competed in Junior Grand Slam tournaments. Patrik made his best ATP world ranking of #527 in singles and #348 in doubles when he was only 19 years old. Craig is a fully qualified tennis teaching professional under Tennis Australia and comes from a tennis rich family, having competed on the satellite tour with his twin brother Justin, and worked together with his cousin David, who was Australia’s Fed Cup Captain. Craig has held Head Tennis Professional positions at Cooper Park in Sydney, and the Shangri-la Hotel in Singapore. He has also taught at the Sanctuary Cove Resort on the Australian Gold Coast and heads to Switzerland every summer to work with Roy Emerson in his world renowned signature tennis camps. Craig enjoys horse racing & all typical Aussie sports.
